Special C-Level Invitation to ISSA-LA 4th Annual Information Security Summit

Information security is about business. That's why, in 2004, the Business Roundtable said "Information security requires CEO attention in their individual companies." Eight years later, the Business Roundtable's words are more true than ever.

Never before has it been so important for business leaders to learn about the dangers of cybercrime and how to protect their organizations from loss.

As President of ISSA-LA - the Los Angeles Chapter of the Information Systems Security Association - I want to you invite you, your colleagues and your clients to join me and other business leaders at ISSA-LA's  4th Annual Information Security Summit on May 16th at the Universal Hilton. The theme of this year's Summit is The Growing Cyber Threat: Protect Your Business.

ISSA-LA's Information Security Summit provides business leaders with concentrated, thought-provoking, and valuable information on the latest cyber threats, providing actionable insights on steps to take to protect their organizations.

The Summit builds on our tradition of being the only information security educational forum in Los Angeles specifically designed to encourage executive participation.

I'm pleased to provide you a special discount to the Summit. This special discount is available to you, your colleagues and your clients. To register at the discounted price, simply visit the Chapter's special registration page:, login with the password Summit-4 and use Stan as the "Referral Code."

This year's Keynote Address will be given by Alan Paller, Research Director at the SANS Institute and columnist for Forbes Magazine. Alan has testified several times before both the House and Senate. In 2010 the Washington Post named Alan as one of the seven people as "worth knowing, or knowing about" in cyber security.

This year's Special Keynote Addresswill be given by world renowned leadership coach Chris Coffey. Chris will discuss concepts from his soon-to-be published book Innovative Questions, describing how asking the right questions can be a vital tool in changing perceptions.

In addition to these keynote talks, we will also have a special Executive Panel including David Hallstrom, Security and Privacy Underwriting Director at CNA.

As the founding Chapter of the Information Systems Security Association, an international not-for-profit organization of information security professionals and practitioners, ISSA-LA is changing the dynamics of information security management in Los Angeles. We crossed a significant milestone on April 3rd when I had the pleasure of speaking at the prestigious Jonathan Breakfast Club.
