Jeff Snyder's Weekly Look Into What Makes a CISO / CSO Successful

A very busy Financial Services CISO shares his thoughts regarding what it takes to be a successful CISO.

1. A CISO must excel in negotiating skills. The ability to convince and negotiate a solution is a critical skill, especially in today's business environment where "getting it done, now, and cheaply" appears to rule business and risk decisions.

2. The ability to see beyond the technical issues to the couch presentations in tangible, quantifiable risks and rewards can be the  difference  between success and failure.
