Our client operates in the healthcare industry and is the leading vertically integrated national provider of bedside diagnostics services offering mobile x-ray, ultrasound, teleradiology and laboratory services to skilled nursing home, assisted living, home healthcare, hospice and correctional markets. Services are offered through a network of subsidiary companies, each with its own core specialty or specialties, many of which interact with and support each other. With a national platform currently servicing 1.5 million beds, our client provides tremendous reach in the market and possesses the potential to expand services far into adjacent markets.

The Senior Network Security Architect will oversee network security and architecture nationally across the enterprise supporting various service lines and business units. 

Primary Duties
  • Define the technical direction and framework for service delivery and operational performance of Wide and Local Area Network Security related services.
  • Monitors security infrastructure for local and wide area networks, hardware and software.
  • Research, plan, design and propose new network security architecture and components, functions and processes.
  • Work with technical management to architect IT network and security infrastructure services addressing business and compliance requirements with best practices.
  • Lead the design, implementation and maintenance of corporate LAN and WAN infrastructure projects.
  • Maintain firewalls, remote access and overall security for the LAN and WAN infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot complex multi-vendor network issues in the LAN and WAN networks.
  • Work with multiple teams to identify bottlenecks and other network configuration issues.
  • Develop and communicate recommendations for procedures, technical standards and guidelines.
  • Document LAN/WAN infrastructure such as network typology, subnets, firewall and router configurations and other systems deemed to be critical.
  • Other duties as required.
  • 5+ years of broad IT Networking service delivery experience in operations, engineering and architecture
  • Cisco ASA firewall administration and IDS/IPS modules experience
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco Routers & Switches and SonicWALL preferred
  • DLP, VPN, wireless and endpoint protection
  • Proficiency in routing protocols, such as EIGRP &BGP
  • Previous experience supporting enterprise-level environment
  • Previous HIPAA, SOX, PCI compliance experience is preferred
  • Previous exposure to AIX, RHEL, Microsoft Server platforms and MS network services
  • Knowledge of virtual network architecture
  • CCNP, CISSP and ITIL certifications are a plus
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar
