A Chief Information Security Officer is now a Different Kind of Leader

A Chief Information Security Officer is now a different kind of leader because of his coaching experience.

"It wasn't until I started Emotional Intelligence coaching with you that I started seeing the world through other people's eyes. That's a gift you've given me."

What is Emotional Intelligence and why does it matter?

Simply stated, Emotional Intelligence is the way we see ourselves and the way we come across to others. This particular CISO client of mine wanted to become a more effective leader.

This CISO's IQ is very high.  He is frequently the smartest person in any given meeting.  It was the way he was coming across to others in the meeting and for that matter, the way he was coming across to others in the building that was getting in his way.

Once he understood his Emotional Intelligence and he took ownership over the way he came across to others, we could begin the coaching process that unraveled old behaviors and build new more productive behaviors.

Over a period of time, the CISO's Emotional Intelligence scores as measured by one of the world's most widely used assessments to measure Emotional Intelligence increased in a meaningful, measurable and quantifiable way.
