Manager, Information Security 
(Analyst / Internal Consultant)

Location: NY-New York City
Compensation: $125,000+ Range and Bonus
Education: BA/BS Preferred
Certification: CISSP, CISM, SANS certifications appreciated
Relocation: Yes’s global client in New York City has engaged us to identify and deliver a talented information security generalist to their team.  While titled Manger of Information Security, this role will function as an internal consultant to the corporate operations in New York as well as to the subsidiary operations across the country and the globe. The person who takes this role will have high visibility with senior management to advise on global security strategy.  This roll is part of a team that places high value on innovation, entrepreneurial vision and there will be ample opportunity for professional career development and growth.  This is more of a hands-off Analyst role where focus will be on architecture, design, policy, threats and staying on top of changes required to ensure that the organization has a current and robust security strategy in place.


  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) providing company-wide advisory services related to technology implementation and security architecture.
  • Manage security projects with subsidiaries across America and assist with integrating security best practices into business projects.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in technology and business units to identify security tools that are required to keep security strategy aligned with the business.
  • Recommend and drive improvements in mission-critical security tools and related processes.
  • Plan and develop the company’s most critical projects by enhancing defense-in-depth security architecture strategies.
  • Monitor and analyze vulnerabilities discovered through scanning and industry intelligence.  Propose remediation approaches.
  • Implement security policies and security procedures that align with the company’s global information security and privacy policies.
  • Incident Response:  Perform analysis, triage, response and remediation for network intrusions.
  • Review and approve firewall rule configuration requests.
  • Perform security architecture reviews and provide input and feedback on proposed designs.


  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in information security
  • Ability to collaborate with, communicate with, negotiate with, compromise with, persuade and influence both business-focused executives and technology-focused colleagues is a key required skill set in this role.
  • Must be able to work independently in an unstructured environment that requires strong project management skills impacting multiple stakeholders simultaneously across a complex global organization.
  • A BA/BS degree is preferred but not required.
  • A CISSP, CISM or related SANS certifications are appreciated but not required.
  • Must demonstrate past or present subject matter expertise in firewall, system and network architectures along with a well-rounded understanding of security best practices.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of information technology protocol behavior.
  • Candidate will be experienced with a variety of security tolls such as Tripwire, Qualys, Bluecoat, FireEye, McAfee and more.
